Make Agreements Instead Of Assumptions

Make agreements up front so that everything is clear and you can avoid the extra, “Hey, can you do me a big favor…” awkwardness. The best way to say “no” is to offer a proposed solution. For example, “It’s outside of our original agreement, so let me get back to you with a quote.” A lot of times, people don’t ask to intentionally take advantage, but it’s up to us to set the boundary and honor it.
